Puri is at 60 km distance from the Biju Patnaik Airport located in Bhubaneswar. Bhubaneswar is connected by air with flights to major Indian cities like New Delhi, Kolkata, Visakhapatnam, Ranchi, Chennai and Mumbai etc. The nearest International Airport is at Kolkata.
Travelers flying from Europe or America (East), the best way to reach Puri is via Kolkata, Mumbai or Delhi and then fly to Bhubaneshwar .Travellers flying from Australia or California could fly directly to Chennai or Kolkata and then fly to Bhubaneshwar

BY ROAD :

Puri is linked with Bhubaneswar by state highway no.8 and Bhubanaswar is situated along the National Highway no.5 connecting Chennai and Kolkata. The best way to go from Bhubaneswar to Puri is on one of the State Govt. buses, mini buses and tourist buses leaving from Bhubaneswar main bus stand (Known as Baramunda), and from the petrol station opposite the Ashok Hotel (Kalpana Square). They take approximately 2 hours to reach Puri. There are also Private Taxis (Cabs) going to Puri.

   

The New Bus Terminal at ‎Malatipatapur‬‬‬ (5Kms from Puri Town). All the buses will stop here and the ‬‬‬ people will enter to Puri town through Talabania during Nabakalebara‬‬‬ .The bus-stand will accommodate 700 buses and have facilities for 65 toilets and six restaurants. It will be managed by Orissa State Road Transport Corporation. Installations of complaint/suggestion box are installed in bus stand to put suggestions , complaints and feedback.
