The above noted case was registered on the written report of complainant Kanakalata Khatei W/o. Suresh Chandra Khatei of Narankheta, PS-Pipili and Inspr.A.K. Champatiray took charge of the investigation. The case was supervised by Sri R.K. Rout, OPS, the then SDPO, Pipili who concluded it is a true case U/s.341/323/366-A/376/506/379 IPC against accused Bipin Bihari Pradhan S/o. Bramhachari Pradhan of Singhberhampur, Tailasahi, PS-Delanga.
During investigation & supervision it came to light that, on 16.3.10 evening at about 7 PM while the victim Pramoda Khatei (15) and her mother (complainant) Kanakalata Khatei were going towards Canal Ridge side to attend call of nature suddenly accused Bipina Pradhan @ Kuna came in a motor cycle along with another person and taken away the victim Pramoda Khatei in the said motor cycle. After thorough search the victim was rescued from Lanjigada coming under Kalahandi district. On examination the victim narrated how forcibly she was sexually assaulted by the accused Bipina Pradhan in different places and at Lanjigada.
During course of investigation I.O arrested accused Bipin Bihari Pradhan on 29.4.10 and forwarded him to the Hon’ble Court on 30.4.10 and after minutely completing all the actions of the case submitted C.S U/s. 341/323/366-A/376/379/506 IPC against accused Bipin Bihari Pradhan vide CS No.177 dated 27.8.10.
In this case on 30.4.14 judgment has been pronounced by Sri S.S.Jena, 3rd Addl.Sessions Judge, Puri in ST Case No.140/211 of 2013/2010 who found accused Bipin Bihari Pradhan is guilty and sentenced to undergo R.I for 10 days for the offence U/s. 323 IPC and R.I for 5 years and to pay fine of Rs.1,000/- in default undergo R.I for 2 months for the offence U/s. 366 IPC and undergo R.I for 7 years and to pay fine of Rs.1,000/- in default to undergo R.I for 3 months for the offence U/s.376 IPC. The substantive portions of the sentence shall run concurrently. The period of detention, suffered by the convict as under trial prisoner in this case shall be set off against the substantive portions of the sentences. Fine amount, if realized, shall be paid to the victim girl.

During investigation and supervision it came to light that, Complainant was the elder brother of deceased Baina @ Sanjaya Paikray of village Kuapada, PS-Delanga. On 17.6.09 Baina @ Sanjaya Paikray and his friends assaulted one Babana Jena the elder brother of Gunanidhi Jena by means of Katari. After some days Baina @ Sanjaya Paikray and Gunanidhi Jena became very close friends. On 2.5.10 Gunanidhi Jena took Baina to Singarakiri to witness Badipala. At about 11 PM Gunanidhi Jena along with Baina and Laxmidhara Swain, Padia Swain, Pramod Swain, Purna Chandra Swain, Dhadia Swain, Gajendra Swain all of village Sunamuhi went towards Sadngoi village side with three motor cycle. On 3.5.10 morning hour Baina @ Sanjaya Paikray was found in unconscious condition ear Nuasahi bridge, Gadapata. During course of treatment Baina Paikray died on 5.5.10 at SCBMCH, Cuttack. While undergoing treatment deceased Baina Paikray told before the complainant and other witnesses about the occurrence of assault by the accused persons.

In this case on 02.04.14 judgement has been pronounced by Sri S.S.Jena, 3rd Addl.Sessions Judge, Puri who found accused persons 1) Pradipta Swain @ Pradeep, 2) Dhadia @ Saratha Swain, 3) Gunanidhi Jena @ Gunia are guilty and sentenced to undergo R.I for life and to pay a fine of Rs.1000/- each in default to undergo R.I for 25 days more for the offence U/s. 302/34 IPC. Fine amunt, if released, shall be paid to Hullasini Paikray in addition to any other compensation to this she is legally entitled.
The above noted case was registered on the written report of complainant Tilotamma Sahoo W/o. Trailokya Mohan Sahoo of village Kanchasahi, PS-Chandanpur, Dist. Puri and Inspr. S.K. Mishra, IIC, Chandanpur PS took up the investigation. The case was supervised by Sri M.Ch. Sahoo, OPS, the then SDPO, Sadar who concluded it is a true case U/s. 363/376(2)(f)/324/506 IPC against accused Sanjaya Kumar Mohapatra S/o. Mahendra Mohapatra of village Kanchasahi, PS-Chandanpur.
During investigation and supervision it came to light that, on 30.1.11 at about 10 AM the victim girl Subhalaxmi Sahoo (7) D/o Complainant Tilottama Sahoo was present in their house alone and complainant was absent in the house. In the mean time taking the opportunity of loneliness accused Sanjay Mohapatra took the victim girl to his betel orchard, raped her, bitten her chest and threatened her to kill if she will disclose the fact before anybody.
The I.O after minutely completing all the actions of the case submitted C.S U/s. 363/376(2)(f)/324/506 IPC against accused Sanjaya Kumar Mohapatra vide CS No.42 dated 25.3.11.
In this case on 17.05.14 judgement has been pronounced by Dr. Suvendu Kumar Pati, LL.M.Ph.D, Asst.Sessions Judge (Special Track), Puri who found accused Sanjaya Mohapatra is guilty and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 10 years and to pay a fine of Rs.30,000/- i.d to undergo R.I for six months more for committing offence punishable U/s. 376 (2)(f) IPC and to undergo simple imprisonment for one year each for the offences punishable U/s. 363,324 and 506 of the IPC and to pay a fine of Rs.5000/- for offence punishable U/s. 363 of the IPC only i.d to SI for one month. The sentences awarded to the convict shall run concurrently and the period of detention undergone by him as U.T.P be set off. Out of the fine amount Rs.30,000/- in total shall be paid to the victim as compensation.
The above noted case was registered on the written report of complainant Prakash Kumar Mishra S/o Purna Ch. Mishra of village Pratap Ramchandrapur, PS-Chandanpur, Dist. Puri and Inspr. S.Mohanty, IIC, Chandanpur PS took up the investigation. The case was supervised by Sri M.Ch. Sahoo, OPS, the then SDPO, Sadar who concluded it is a true case U/s. 307/294/506/324 / 120(B)/34 IPC against accused persons 1) Bhobanananda Sarangi, 2) Kali Prasad @ Hapi Sarangi, 3) Balabhadra Bhoi, 4) Kanhu Jena, 5) Purna Chandra Nanda, 6) Rakesh Nanda and 7) Gangadhar Sahoo.
During investigation and supervision it came to light that, during three tier G.P election Paranyomasi Nanda W/o. Purna Chandra Nanda was contested from Congress Party whereas Smt. Monalisa Mishra W/o. Prakash Kumar Mishra contested from BJD Party for the post of Zilla Parisad member. On 30.1.12 evening when the Karmi Samilani of BJD workers was going on attended by Sri Maheswar Mohanty, Minister, Panchayatraj, MLA, Bramhagiri Sri Sanjaya Das Barma at village Brahaman Alandia accused Balabhadra Bhoi being instigated by other accused persons went to the meeting place by wearing a lady saree being armed with a Crowbar and assaulted on the head of Sri Maheswar Mohanty causing severe bleeding injury. Hence the case.
The I.O after minutely completing all the actions of the case submitted C.S U/s. 307/294/506/324/120(B)/34 IPC against accused persons 1) Bhobanananda Sarangi, 2) Kali Prasad @ Hapi Sarangi, 3) Balabhadra Bhoi, 4) Kanhu Jena, 5) Purna Chandra Nanda, 6) Rakesh Nanda and 7) Gangadhar Sahoo vide CS No.31 dated 29.3.12. In this case on 03.09.14 judgement has been pronounced by Sri B.K. Chanda, M.A.LL.B, Asst.Sessions Judge, Puri relating to ST Case No.84/298 of 2012 arising out of GR case No.218/12 who found accused Mahara @ Balabhadra Bhoi is guilty and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 3 years for committing the offence U/s. 324 IPC and to pay fine of Rs.10,000/- and in default of payment of fine the convict to undergo RI for further period of 6 months and I further sentence the convict is to undergo R.I for a period of 4 years for committing the offence U/s. 307 IPC and to pay fine of Rs.15,000/- and in default of payment of fine the convict is to undergo RI for further period of one year. Both the sentences are to run concurrently and the fine amount if realized, be given as compensation to the injured Maheswasr Mohanty for the injuries sustained by him.
The above noted case was registered on the written report of complainant Bikram Parida S/o. Bhasker Parida of village Tentulia, PS-Satyabadi, Dist. Puri and Inspr. P.K. Biswal, the then IIC, Satyabadi PS took up the investigation. The case was supervised by Sri R.K. Rout, OPS, the then SDPO, Pipili who concluded it is a true case U/s. 302 IPC against accused Muna Sukari S/o. Bijaya Sukari of Bagulapari, PS-Satyabadi.
During investigation and supervision it came to light that, on 17.8.12 at 8 AM while deceased Bhasker Parida coming to his village by his cycle accused Muna Sukari driving a Qualis vehicle came in a high speed and intentionally dashed to Bhasker Parida in order to kill him due to their previous enmity. During the treatment injured Bhasker Parida expired ast SCB Medical College and Hospital,Cuttack on the same day. Hence the case.
The I.O after minutely completing all the actions of the case submitted C.S U/s. 302 IPC against accused Muna Sukari vide CS No.217 dated 13.12.12. In this case on 05.04.14 judgement has been pronounced by Sri S.S. Jena, 3rd Addl.Sessions Judge, Puri relating to ST Case No.6-119 of 2013 arising out of GR case No.1700/12 who found accused Muna @ Sanjaya Kumar Sukari is guilty and sentenced to undergo R.I for 10 years and to pay a fine of Rs.5000/- in default to undergo R.I for one ;year for the offence U/s. 304(I) of the IPC. The period of detention as Under Trial Prisoner suffered by the convict shall be set off against the substantive portion of the sentence. The fine amount if realized shall be paid to the dependants of the deceased.
